Spiritual Mediumship Development

This is where a person has the abilities to communicate with the spirit of someone that has passed over into the heavenly realms. There are psychic mediums and spiritual mediums which are two very different things: a psychic will read the aura and tell you about your life and then tell you what they think you need to hear from their own view - yet Psychics can have their place if it helps the person who feels low for some reason by giving them a positive feeling which can lift them up to receive goodness in their life. But my only worry is that if a psychic tells you things that may not happen this could leave the person feeling even lower. There is another way to look at these types of reading: if the person who receives a positive direction e.g. "you will recover from an illness" or "get a job, house or even new relationship" etc, then the person will feel confident which in turn will create energies that will draw these things to the person and so the reading will become true; but if the person is negative then it will not take place, or if it does then it is possible to bring a difficult situation into their lives. Life is full of mental and emotional energies; like attracts like. Unfortunately it becomes difficult even for mediums that have a message from the spirit world, if someone doesn't want to listen or is very negative - this can become a barrier against the good things taking place and not allow our spirit friends to come close to guide and heal us. I also have to add here, some people do not want to talk to loved ones, for example as one lady said "I don't want to speak to them, I know they are ok I want to know what is going on in my life"; if only she truly understood how it all works and had a bit more knowledge.

Then there are our mediums that have the gift of communication with the spirit world, and will work in a different way. Most mediums that work on a one to one basis or demonstrate in front of an audience will be classed as a mental medium which means clairvoyance, Clairaudience, or clairsentience.

The ones I class as psychic could work on their abilities and probably have very good links with our spirit friends, but many just settle for this level because they don't understand there gift and are happy with the response they are getting.

What is wonderful about true spiritual mediumship is communication from the spirit world that our loved ones and guides are trying to express their love to us, helping us and proving there is life beyond the physical world and they are very much alive; in fact more alive than they have ever been. Communication from the other side can be inspiring for most of us and can fill us with hope and confidence knowing our loved ones are with us and we can still continue to love them ,as so many people grieve because they feel they can't say "I love you and miss you" or even "sorry" for reasons that may be important to that person. Mediumship is important even more so these days as we do need reassurance, love and guidance as our beliefs in a higher force are wavering, and even if we follow a particular faith it doesn't always allow us the opportunities to access spirit information in this way. But what must be understood and accomplished are the standards that potential mediums need to work to if they are to achieve clear and authentic links with the spirit communicator. The personal responsibility of a medium is to honour the person who needs guidance, by being true and honest as much as possible and always have their interests at heart. We are the ambassador of the spirit and we too are all subjected to karma.
