First of all you don't have to belong to any organisation or church to be a healer and at the moment there is no law in the land that says you have to have a certificate; this is a personal choice and this also depends on how and where you wish to work as a healer.
If you are going to work as an absent healer and by this I mean a person that sits in prayer or links with their guides or even works from home, then I would say "why bother?" But on the other hand if you wish to work at a Doctor's surgery or any other organisation then yes you do need certificates.
Many healers will happily go forth in the world and apply their healing whether working from home or travelling to a person or animal that is unwell and will not question themselves about certificates or insurances. Why should they? Most of these healers probably have a great deal of faith in their ability and in the source they work with and even some of the healers that have chosen to get a certificate, I am sure will have great faith too.
Many of us feel inspired by the great masters that have walked on our earth and readily follow their spiritual teachings, and most of all knowing these Masters were healers in some way or another certainly keeps our faith firmly in place. One thing I think is important is that the Masters never walked round with a certificate or a piece of paper to say "I am a healer". At that time, the people who have listened and watched these men and women of God perform their miracles, taught them to have faith in life.
However, many people do tell me I must get certificates and insurances just in case someone tries to sue me; this saddens me because they haven't got any faith in themselves or their guides. I would say often that if you have faith, real faith then you are protected and when you work with pure intentions then this is your insurance in life. Of course you have to use your common sense and this is your spiritual code of conduct but if you constantly fear then the laws of attraction come into play.
In fifteen years of healing I have never been asked or questioned about certificates and insurance. I believe this is because I made a spiritual deal with my guides and this was to bring me the people I can help not the ones I can't; this really does work. If however you have decided to work in another organisation then this is fantastic, there are so many opportunities these days especially now healing is far more accepted. What you do have to consider is that you will probably get paid for your services through the organisations which will be funded by the government or will be a business of some sort. Even if you work for a charity they will all have insurances and will require you to be insured and have certificates which is quite understandable as they have rules and regulations which will protect them, which we have to abide by.
Even for me, for the first time in my life I have to consider joining a healing organisation because of one or two things which have recently presented themselves to me. First my local gymnasium has asked me to do some healing for their members, this could be a good opportunity for me and knowing they won't have to pay any extra money sounds even better. The other reason is this lovely Man called Alan who has been given only a few months to live has been receiving healing from me and is now feeling very well. What is so wonderful is that Alan feels very confident in me and would like to see me training other people that wish to become healers, and he also wants to help me gain a certificate so I can do this. Alan is also a Healer and is with the Healers Practitioners Association.
What I do like about this idea is the opportunity to guide other people on their pathway to becoming a healer and having the chance to explain to them all the highs and sometimes lows which I have experienced on my journey.
A lot of these organisations don't give you the finer details of healing; I know for myself that over the years I have had so many questions and not a lot of answers and feeling at times quite lost with it all and wishing I had someone to turn to. But of course now I realise it was all for a reason and maybe I can teach others now, so yes I like idea of training others or as I often say, I am here to remind you what you already know.
Where do I get a certificate?
There are many healing organisation you can turn to, you can find them on the internet or through the library, in books or magazines and there are spiritualist churches and healing centres that are usually associated with an organisation.
When you are ready and feel this is your vocation you will be guided and signs will be shown to you.
When looking for a healing organisation make sure that the certificate allows you to heal anywhere, it's just some organisations which say you can only heal within their church or centres and not in any others, and if the law does change then you need to know that your certificate will be valid in the eyes of the law. Also look into the insurances that are offered, see what it covers.
Here are some organisations
- Healers Practitioner Association International.
- White Eagle Lodge.
- The Harry Edwards Organisation.
- The Corinthians.
- National federation of Spiritual Healing.
- Greater World.
- Alliance Healing.
- The World Federation of Healing.
- Surrey Healers.
Last of all please remember healing is God given so working on a donation basis is much better or a low charge, I see so many charging up to 50.00 or more per session. This is not true spiritual healing.
